Halloween is a time when kids and adults alike dress up as their favorite heroes, villains, and everything in between. Combining your love of cars and Halloween is easy! Just check out a few of these car-themed Halloween costume ideas recommended by us here at Nissan of Silsbee.

Used Car Salesman

If there’s one thing every driver dreads, it’s running into a pushy used car salesman when they’re searching for their next vehicle. A comb-over wig, plaid suit, and rubber cigar combine to create the unmistakable, stereotypical used car salesman. Bonus points if you try to sell someone a used car as well!

Race Car Driver

Kids and adults can share their fascination with cars through speed. The race car driver costume isn’t exactly uncommon, but it never gets old at the same time. Kids can unleash their creative side as most race car driver costumes feature a variety of colors and patterns.

A Car

Is there anything more car-themed than a car itself? Dressing up as a car usually entails a cardboard box and a little creativity. Adding fake wheels will make your costume even more iconic. For those who really want to grab the attention of passersby, consider dressing up as a famous car, like the Mystery Machine.

Nissan Juke SOAK Can Sense Driver Dehydration

Nissan Juke SOAK - 2017 Nissan JUKE in Silsbee, TX
Will the SOAK look similar to the current 2017 Nissan JUKE?

There’s no denying that the technology within cars has come a long way in the past few years. Newer models feature technologies that can do some amazing things, such as drive themselves, prevent collisions, and more. Even so, Nissan make have just taken the cake. Meet the Nissan Juke SOAK, a crossover designed to sense driver dehydration.

After a study by Loughborough University found that dehydration can affect reaction time as much as driving under the influence, Nissan took action by partnering with Droog Design. The two went on to create the Nissan Juke SOAK, or “Sweat Sensitive Textile Coating.” The spray-on compound is capable of detecting dehydration through sweat.

As we’ve seen from all of the brand’s latest innovations, Nissan leaves no stone unturned when it comes to safety. The SOAK technology changes color when it comes in contact with sweat. If it’s yellow, the driver needs to drink more water. Blue means that the driver is sufficiently hydrated.

While there’s no word on whether the Nissan Juke SOAK will make it to production, the concept is interesting all on its own. This latest technology is just another way that Nissan is looking to make the roads of the future a safer place.

We here at Nissan of Silsbee can’t wait to see what the Japanese automaker comes up with next!
