There are people who like college football, and then there are real college football fans. Nissan has created an app for the second group to help them really show off their love for their team.
According to a Nissan Press Release, Nissan’s Diehard Fan App allows fans to virtually paint their face.
The app is free to download from diehardfan.com. Using the app, college sports fans can virtually apply their college’s colors and mascots to an image of their face.
To create these game faces, Nissan first looked to a professional face painter. Nissan then took the designs and digitally converted them.
The app is developed in conjunction with the announcement that Nissan has become the official automobile sponsor of over 100 universities across the nation.
“The Diehard Fan mobile app delivers on Nissan’s brand promise of innovation and excitement for everyone,” said Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications & Media at Nissan North America. “This is just one way for sports fans to unleash their colors anywhere, anytime, and engage with Nissan and our College 100 Sponsorship of men’s and women’s college sports programs throughout the US.”
